IDUG, in partnership with IBM, will provide opportunity for you to give feedback on the usage and usability of DB2 products and services at IDUG 2009 - North America. These User Feedback Opportunity (UFO) sessions, open to all registered attendees (users, vendors, and consultants), will solicit your opinions via product usability testing, demos, and question and answer formats. Make a point to participate in these key product influence opportunities. UFO sessions will be held in Room 104 of the Colorado Convention Center.
Data Studio
Come and try the latest version of Data Studio, the base administration and data development tooling supported with DB2 LUW and DB2 for z/OS. This will be a flexible hands-on session where you can choose to focus on basic object management, SQL editing, SQL tuning, developing XML, stored procedures, UDFs, Java or data web services. Provide feedback to improve the usability of Data Studio. Participants can be DBAs, system programmers, or application developers.
DB2 for LUW - Graphical Administration Tools, Typical Scenarios & Pain Points
Do you use graphical tools, like the Control Center, to administer your database? Tell us how these tools make it easier for you to perform your job. What are the key database administration tasks that you rely on, or enjoy using, with Control Center or other tools? What are your pain points? Sessions will be run in groups of 3 (or smaller) and are suited for participants experienced in administering DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows databases.
DB2 for LUW - Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting Improvements
Do you find monitoring and troubleshooting application performance issues challenging? Do you want a sneak peek at the latest in DB2 monitoring and troubleshooting improvements? Participants will be able to share their experiences and provide feedback on how improved troubleshooting tools can be applied to address issues in their own production environments. Sessions will be run in groups of 3 (or smaller) and are suited for participants experienced in diagnosing performance problems in a DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows production environment.
Demonstration of the New Installable Information Center
Have you tried the new installable Information Management Software for z/OS Solutions Information Center? The information center provides integrated information for multiple products, such as DB2 for z/OS, and InfoSphere Warehouse for z/OS. The installable information center includes the same content as the Web-based information center, but it runs on a local system or on an intranet server. During this hands-on session, you will install the information center, learn how to download updates (and subscribe to be notified of updates), and learn techniques for searching. In the process, you can provide feedback to help us improve the information center. Also, you will receive a free DVD of the installable information center!
