 "IBM Data Studio - Data and Application Life Cycle Management"

This presentation will provide an overview of IBM's new database and application lifce cycle management solution. Data Studio will provide a suite of integrated tools that allow the DBA or application developer to manage their DB2 and IDS databases. The presentation will show what is available today, and the expected rollout of new capabilities in 2008 and 2009. The presentation will also show how pureQuery technology will maximize your ability to manage Java or .NET database applications that use DB2 or IDS. The solution provides unprecedented ability to perform problem determination, capacity planning, performance management, etc.

Curt Cotner is an IBM Fellow, and a member of the IBM Academy of Technology. Curt is the chief technology officer for the DB2 family and Informix IDS database servers, and has both management and technology oversight responsibility for all the client software offerings used with DB2 and IDS. This includes the client runtime APIs (JDBC, .NET, CLI, pureQuery, etc.) and the application development and administration tools offerings (IBM Data Studio). Prior to taking his current assignment, Curt was the chief architect for the DB2 for z/OS development team.
